Made in Japan

25 Mar 2007 – No matter how old I am, my love of all things Japanese and adorable never falters. And very recently, I was thrilled to bits to receive the following items! Especially so here where anything that is NOT from any of the boutiques or the tuckshop is so very very rare and precious.

First of all, another care-pack from Billie…

This time filled with lots and lots of yummy Japanese snacks and sweets. And yes, I did check, all real Nippon stuff – none of those Chinese or Korean imitations. What more can a girl ask for…

Oh, and see how progressive the Japs are? They SO get the concept that life doesn’t stop just cause you’re handicapped…

Yes, even the blind should enjoy a bag of chestnuts if that’s what they’re after!

Next, this too-cute-to-be-true Hello Kitty pouch from Yukari.

And look, it’s from the new “Charmmy Kitty” collection too – the version of Kitty that has long fur!

On the side, there’s this gemstone-studded keychain. Kawai!

As if that’s not enough, Yukari even went to the extent to get a matching mirror set. Oh wow… and she got her mum to specially send all these items from Japan too! All this trouble just cause I gave her a massage… I told her, if this is the reward, I’d massage her anytime man, anytime!

Last but not least, something else that arrived with Yukari’s package from Japan…

Our matching Peach John dresses. Actually three of us ordered it — Yukari has one that’s all black, which you can see on Right. Oh here we are, all wearing our outfits at the recent Front Office Mass Birthday Party — haha, so secondary school right?!!

Oh yes, Peach John, a Japanese online shopping site that Yukari introduced to Heather and me. Mainly teeny boppers stuff, but if you buay paiseh like me, can also find things to buy… what… much cheaper way to get my fix than shopping at Sea Stars!

Ah… just can’t get enough of these Jap stuff. And boy did those snacks go too quickly. So yes, if you’re feeling particularly generous, feel free to send me a whole box of Japanese munchies! Easter is round the corner you know…
