Wedding Bells!

Friday, November 4th, 2005

4 Nov 2005 — As you all know, Wil and I recently got engaged and will be due to ROM in Jan, but as it turns out, it’s not just us. Love must be infectious ‘cos all of a sudden everyone around us is jumping on the bandwagon! Haha, mebbe we really are getting old, and the desire to settle down is slowly but surely creeping in…

First of all, Peishi and Ken tied the knot on 8 Oct 2005.

So sad, only missed it by days…

Then Joerg and Tina got hitched shortly after.

Isn’t this a great photo, so beautiful, with all the rose petals.

Then we heard about Admund’s crazy bungee proposal to Siew Yin…

…due to wed in Oct 2006.

And just a couple of days ago, the most shocking news yet.

Jeff and Serene are also joining the party! And in fact, beating us to it! They’re getting married on Christmas Eve this year. And to think they didn’t tell anyone till now!!! So sneaky!

Wow! Love is in the Air indeed… So much happiness… Congrats Everyone!

28 Oct - 2 Nov 2005 — Here’s a brief glimpse of what we’ve been up to since Admund and Siew Yin’s arrival last Friday. Here we go…

On Friday itself, after the customary yum cha at Hurstville and a trip to Paddy’s market and Haymarket, we made our way down to Newtown for a typical Modern Aussie dinner at Linda’s:

Krispy Kreme

Thursday, November 3rd, 2005

1 Nov 2005 — The first happens to be Alvin’s birthday, and with Krispy Kreme being a must-visit, we decided to kill two birds with one stone and had a donut party at the Mascot branch (right next to the airport in ulu-dulu land). So what did we order? The sampler of course, no less than 12 originals and 12 assorted! Whoo-hoo!!!

Here we are having a great time!

And just in case you were wondering how many bites does it take to down a KK original, Billie and I have worked it out for you…

… it’s 5!

Weiling’s Day Off

Tuesday, November 1st, 2005

1 Nov 2005 — Oh man, it has been a whirlwind of a weekend with Billie and I playing hosts to Admund and Siew Yin. Other than Bondi beach, I think we’ve just about covered every other tourist attraction in Sydney. And of course all our favourite food haunts — Hong Kong place, Billie’s Cafe, Thai Noodle Hut, Pancakes at the Rocks, Ramen-Kan, etc, etc, etc. And I think sometimes Bi and I forget who the actual tourists are, ‘cos somehow we seem to be the ones who are looking more, shopping more, and eating more wherever we go!?! Siao liao lah like dat. Supposed to have come back (post-China) to lose weight for the ROM next year, but erh, yah all my great plans to trim down and firm up will just have to wait. Aiyah got guests mah, diet diet, where got fun right?

On a separate note, I’ve decided that this going back and forth thing with the blogs is just not working, it’s just way too confusing. So I vow once and for all to really get all the backlogs out there! If not, I just feel that there’s something there that’s holding me back from reaching my full potential on a daily basis, can’t charge full steam ahead. Ok, maybe not so drama, but YES! I must get the China and Uluru/Cairns trip out of my system. Ahah! I have just figured it out, it’s like being constipated (a feeling I’m very familiar with). If the old stuff’s still hanging around, you just can’t fit the new stuff in without feeling real bloated and uncomfortable. Ok ok mai tu liao!
