So Who is William?

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

I constantly mention the name “William” in my blogs, so it doesn’t take much more than your toe to figure out that yes, he is the love of my life, my “Maria”, my ex-chauffer, my delivery boy, my “Mr-Fix-It-Now!”, my occasional cook and my number one fan!

But did you know that he is also the pee-pee, Billie, bi, lulu, lala, boostie, papa, poopie in my blogs. Yes, it’s all him rolled into one.

So who is William?
I live with the man 24/7, so don’t make me talk about him more than I oredi do.
If you’re REALLY(?!?) interested in the guy, you can shake his bon-bon at www.dready.org
I hope he says better things about me there than I do about him here.

laptops: impotence link?

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

Straits Times reports that the placement of laptops literally on laps has been linked to a higher incidence of infertility in males, so tell William he better not do that because he is not a father yet.

under 40s dropping like flies

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

Straits Times reports that every 6-7 days, one Singaporean under the age of 40 would suddenly just drop dead from over-exertion due to clogging of arteries, so better don’t over-exercise.

Mohr & Mohr — German

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

To begin our world tour of cuisines right here in Sydney, William has chosen as our first pit-stop: Mohr & Mohr - German.

On first impressions, the place seemed quite nice actually. Elegant, yet casual, not too stiffy, though I did feel a bit out of place in my baby blue shooting star jacket. but no, the staff refrained from kicking us out if they did have the urge. and yeah, I was excited, seeing how it’s not everyday that William comes up with surprises.

How to Politely Say “No, We Hated Our Meal!”

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

On Sunday, after watching a really good film “Travellers & Magicians“, William and I proceeded to dinner. Something new for a change. For more on that experience, see Mohr & Mohr. But to cut a long story short, we basically did not enjoy the experience, and yes, we were aware of that fact halfway through the meal. which is why we started getting nervous when we noticed that whenever the waiter came to clear one of the surrounding tables, he would always make it a point to ask if the diners had enjoyed their food, to which they would of course mumble some pleasantries, etc, etc.

Ang Mors at the Hong Kong Place

Friday, June 24th, 2005

Last night William and I went to one of our favourite haunts in Sydney, Hong Kong Place. that’s what we call it, but I think its real name is Kingsford Restaurant or something along those lines. It’s near UNSW and previously when we used to stay at St Peters and still had our 1978 Mrs Benz, we’d go there 3 nights per week for dinner. Good and cheap. They not only give free Chinese tea, but also free soup. and not just the MSG with a dash of spring onions kind, actual “boil many hours” kind of Chinese soup, like last night, we got chicken and pear soup, so nice, especially now when it’s getting so cold!!! so cold!!!

Mark was going to split it 50-50. and Mike went “Dude!?!” and Mark went “Oh, yes, what was I thinking?” And in the end, I got $100 and Soph got $50. I also got an extra $124 in terms of personal comm. Yay yay yay!

Life is like a Taiwanese Serial

Thursday, June 23rd, 2005

I’ve finally finished yet another Taiwanese serial, Meteor Garden II, yes, I know, very slow. As usual, the moment I started the series, I have to watch one episode after another, practically other than going to school, eating, going to the toilet and sleep when it’s really badly needed, my eyes are peeled to the TV. I just want to rush through the whole series because I know the ending is going to be a happy one, or so I hope.
